Coming to the campsite
Camping Le Damier is perfectly situated between the Valinco region (Sartène and Propriano) and the far south (Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio). It’s just 15 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes from Porto-Vecchio and 40 minutes from Propriano for ferry boats.
Arriving in the middle of the village, please head for the Village of Caldarello, taking the first intersection on the right after the Annunziata church to continue for 1 kilometer and find the campsite on your right.
Plane or boat to Corsica. Corsica is an island. So you’ll have to choose whether to reach us by plane or by boat.
The advantage of camping Le Damier in Pianotolli is that we’re not only very close to Figari Sud Corse airport, but also to the ports of Porto Vecchio and Propriano, and not so far from Ajaccio.
Coming to the campsite by ferry
If you want to come to Corsica with your own vehicle and enjoy easy travel from the campsite, there’s nothing better than a ferry crossing.
There are several companies serving Corsican ports from Marseille, Toulon and Nice, as well as fromItaly, not forgetting the rotations between Corsica and Sardinia:
The port of Porto Vecchio is of course the easiest way to get to Pianotolli. But we’re also quite close to the port of Propriano (about an hour’s drive). If you can’t find suitable crossings to either of these ports, the best solution is to use the port of Ajaccio. Allow 2 h 15 to reach us… but take your time, the road is very beautiful!
Flying to the campsite
This is undoubtedly the easiest and quickest solution, as there is a very wide choice of flights to Figari. Figari Sud Corse airport is 15/20 minutes from the campsite entrance! This will be the quickest way to reach us.
However, you’ll either have to hire a car or take a cab for the short journey.
Figari airport is linked to most major French cities and European capitals, offering frequent flights all season long.
The airports of Ajaccio and Bastia can be interesting additions if you can’t find the flight you need, but Figari should remain your main search.
